Thank you for reviewing my psychotherapy practice information.
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Seattle, Washington. My orientation and training is in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic mental health treatment. I have had success in helping people though crisis, as well as to change the way they understand themselves in short term mental health treatment. The crisis may be caused by a loss, a conflict with others, or a conflict within. I have also been successful in helping people overcome ongoing anxiety and depression in longer term mental health treatment. We decide together what type of treatment is likely to be most helpful to you. For more information about my background and training, please see my Clinical Background and Affiliations page and my General Clinical Information page.
I help people learn to listen to and understand themselves in the way that I try to listen to and understand them. My focus is on the relationship people have with themselves, as well as the relationships they have with others.
In my 40 years as a therapist, I have constantly learned more about myself and others through my work. For me, being a therapist is a fascinating, difficult, enriching process for me and my patients. It is a privilege for me to be a therapist.
I work in my office with individuals or couples who experience emotional distress. For more information on the kinds of clinical help I provide, see “Treatment Specialties” below. My office hours are generally from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. A clinical hour is 40 minutes in length. For more specific information on how I provide clinical services, see “Disclosure Statement” on General Information Page.
